About This Stop

Catholic Charities of Acadiana looks forward to welcoming you to this interactive and transformative experience at Blackham Coliseum, on the grounds of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

The People of Hope Traveling Museum makes its Lafayette stop in the heart of Acadiana, a region long known for its deep Catholic roots, vibrant Cajun and Creole culture, and strong tradition of neighbor helping neighbor. Visitors traveling to see the museum will find a city rich in history and hospitality, from the historic Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist and Vermilionville’s living history village to the lively downtown scene along Jefferson Street. Lafayette’s blend of faith, culture, and community spirit makes it a fitting setting for a museum built on stories of service and hope.

We are pleased to host People of Hope: Faith-Filled Stories of Neighbors Helping Neighbors.
