Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Scranton is excited to welcome you to People of Hope: Faith-Filled Stories of Neighbors Helping Neighbors, an interactive and transformative experience that brings to life inspiring stories of compassion, resilience, and service.
Join us at beautiful Nay Aug Park, Scranton’s largest public park, for this special community event. Nestled in the heart of the city, Nay Aug Park offers visitors a scenic setting with hiking trails, the stunning Nay Aug Gorge, the David Wenzel Treehouse, the historic Brooks Coal Mine, and the Everhart Museum—all just minutes from downtown Scranton, St. Peter’s Cathedral, and the Diocese of Scranton Chancery.
Just prior to the museum opening, the Bishop of Scranton will offer a welcome message to attendees gathered at the museum entrance.
In addition to touring the People of Hope museum, visitors can enjoy a variety of complimentary community activities throughout the event, including:
